China is becoming an alternative to the USA in regions like the Middle East and recently Africa. Not saying that China is an angel compared to the USA. And I think America’s Congress is seeing China as a threat. We will see how it plays out in the coming years but I am all for America to lose its influence and start seeing some change.

As a South-East Asian, I'm not a fan of either super powers running roughshod over others. With that being said, as things stand, China offers much better alternatives to the US. There are no allies in statecraft, only mutual interests.

All U.S did was simply exploit the reigon while giving barely anything in return, I can't name any project the U.S have planned for the reigon in order to develop it in exchange for resources there.
China on the other hand while they do also exploit for resources, they actually promise development and have actually built and developed in many areas in Africa.

I understand why middle easterners hate the USA, if they had invaded and ruined my country, I would probably hate them too. And saying the Chinese are bad is no use, of course, they are not angels but someone doing something bad and doing something bad to you are two different things. Even if the Chinese killed a million people, implying they are not in the Middle East, countries in the Middle East would still hate the USA more and that's understandable.
All of that said, be mindful of what you wish for. US intervention was often wished for by many before it happened but bitterly regretted afterwards. I'm sure the same will go for Chinese intervention.
