Keep growing China .
Become a superpower without destroying other countries

I've been learning Chinese over the past 2 years and I think it has been a good decision, because I see more and more Chinese companies and business investing in my country. I hope I can visit China some day and see what the future looks like!

@grandwonder5858
More developments and progress in China could only mean one thing -- more anger and jealousy from the Americans! Unfortunately, that is the American mentality. Keep others down rather than lifting everybody up has been the strategy of the USA for over a century!

@PatriciaFreddy
Im glad you mentioned all the awesome Chinese brands. This gives many outsiders (myself included) a glimpse of how developed China is.

@HKChineseCanadian
Chinese malls are full-service lifestyle centers. In these palatial centers of retail therapy, there are restaurants, cinemas, children's play areas and adult recreation. We need to copy China in North America and make our malls more user-friendly especially for people like me who don't really like shopping.

@itsme2be
Shopping in malle in China is not about shopping, but customer experience. It's a whole experience that you are getting. It's fun to visit a mall and experience everything, even if you don't buy anything. Many just go their for eating and drinking.

@SSL_SSL
Thank you Alex for sharing another enlightening video. When the Chinese say they will do something, they WILL do it !!! I look forward to many more fascinating videos in the days and weeks to come. Keep up the good work !!!

@john6140
I was always amazed every time I was in China all the malls. In Beijing I think there was one on every corner. Me personally like that, everything in China is so convenient and easy to get too.

@richardong6640
Wonderful video of the malls in China, so beautiful and modern! No wonder luxury brands from around the world want to open shop there! Plus the huge market of spending power!

@HuaRileyArt
I had a wonderful experience while visiting home. Not just shoppers’ heaven but a good place to relax and recharge. Good for everyone! The mall I visited has a movie theater inside plus many hobbies stores as well. The hobby stores provide fun classes! I can hang out at mall all day not bored! Homesick so badly.

@8est8its89
I've been to a few malls in shanghai and remember how impressive they were.. this was going back over 20 years ago... looks like they've levelled up massively since then!!

Given the size of these mega cities in China, and their populations, it makes perfect sense to build these huge amazing shopping malls. If businesses within these malls in China were not successful, I doubt they would continue to build them in other large mega cities. Granted, some of these malls market luxury goods which average shoppers have no use, but yet there is a market out there to sell the product to those who can afford to shop there. From the street corners, to the open air markets, to the shopping districts of many stores, retail marketing product is always evolving. It is apparent where online shopping is headed, and that just might be the way of shopping in the future. Shopping malls in my area of the USA have all but disappeared. I miss the fun of spending a day, roaming and shopping around in the malls. Especially in the winter months. If one takes an overall look at what the Chinese have accomplished in terms of futuristic infrastructure, product development, and overall growth, it’s hard to find many (if any) failures. If one day I should visit China, and I don’t have to take the Lanying Cliff Road to get there, I would definitely love to wander through any of these gorgeous amazing malls! Thumbs up to Alex, Julija, and the entire Reporterfy Media & Travel team for putting together another exciting and educational video for all it’s viewers!

@priscillaferguson267
I love shopping at the malls in China! They make the malls and shopping centers in the U.S. look like dumps. Absolutely noooooo comparison! Not only the variety of mid and high end products and merchandise but the customer service is top notch!

@lutztech
Everything in China is absolutely incredible.
China makes every other country look so third world, especially America.

@KenWiggerAnotherAncientGamer
These malls are beautiful structures compared to some decrepit malls in America. Some failed malls in America have replaced failed stores with kidney dialysis, public aid, & physical rehabilitation facilities as the mall slowly crumbles. China's malls are a vibrant expression of the life & luxury available to a growing number of folks there.

@Amidat
I generally prefer street shopping to malls... But what I liked about this video was showing the brands that have become international now and are very successful from China.

@chopsuii
Beautiful malls! I can spend a whole day there just for excitement and entertainment with peace of mind. In America, you have to worry about smash and grab and getting robbed during broad day light.

@JayCeeMax
04:05 Yep I have a xiaomi smartphone. It's good. The USA companies have been trying to find ways to exclude this Chinese made phones but there is a way to move past the USA phone company filters. They keep making new rules in the USA and less and less people are aware of phones like xiaomi.

@josechong8207
I am going to make sure to visit these malls once China opens up to the world Post pandemic. Thank you for sharing Alex. As always, your videos are superb.

@dy-no-mitedragon7759
Excellent video! I would like to see the #1 country in electric cars such as BYD, X-Peng, NIO and Kandi to name a few. Europe and Australia are receiving these cars but the United States NO maybe in a couple of years. Please inform us on the transformation from ICE cars to electric cars. Another great job brother

@lukei6255
Chinese people like to spend weekends in shop malls. While others do outdoor activities, go to church, spend time with family. Different priorities.

@kathy5823
Most of my college classmates, my high school classmates in China are above middle class, their cosumer power is strong enough to go shopping in these malls.

@thisiskevin1000
Content creators and livestreamers' go to for the latest brand launches, plus a meeting place for shoppers, sellers, brands and influencers.
Fanmeetings, buskings and product launches would be another.

@user-mf9bn1yt9d
Yeah, super mega malls are beautiful, but, but, in the time of low pay low income and unsteady jobs, future of these malls are under a spell of bankruptcy

@tonysofla
"The Mall of America will be closed for the rest of the day after gunshots sent shoppers running in terror on Thursday afternoon. Aug4-2022"
China is civilized.

@shutup51916
Don't really care about the brands as I can't afford many of them anyway. I do like the last 2 minutes showcasing the malls, very impressive. I'm sure there are more mega malls than these 5?

@jayyvibing9539
I'm depressed everytime I go to my local small town mall (18,000 population) and how disappointed I am in the new owner not investing barely anything into it; this in the United States, though there is a trampoline park in our mall, it's because of what it's located. If it was more interconnected with the major city half an hour away like with a bullet train service, or busses that run more than once every 24 hrs, then for sure, that mall would be getting a lot more visitors. When I start making mult-millions, I will invest in the local community with the same spirit as the Chinese people.

@azharidris7092
i know the following 'cut and paste' has nothing to do with Malls.. but why do people ( top economist included ) kept insisting the US is the number 1 economy.. it freaking crazy and many goon sheeples believe it..
China is the worlds largest producer and consumer of steel. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
China is the worlds largest producer and consumer of electricity. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
China is the worlds largest producer of vehicles (27 million). Yet their economy is no 2 behind America (which produces 9 million vehicles).
China is the worlds largest shipbuilder. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
China is the worlds largest producer and consumer of cement. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
China has the worlds largest high speed rail system (70,000km). Yet their economy is no 2 behind America (0 km high speed rails).
China launches the largest number of space rockets every year. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
China is the worlds largest exporter. Yet their economy is no 2 behind America.
So how can the US Dollar, British Pound etc have more value than the Renminbi?
Something has to crack somewhere.

@txxxchao
I think maybe this is the only way malls can survive anywhere - that is , combining entertainment like movie theaters, rollercoaster rides, indoor boat rides in a park like setting, offering services like spas and good restaurants. For a place like China, a lot of people don’t go to a local park to take a walk like people in the U.S., so that might be the only way to draw people. Otherwise, it’s much easier to shop online. Thanks again for producing these high quality videos, Alex! How wonderful it is to see what’s going on in China during a time when it’s not feasible to travel to China.

@kailashpatirai
If we need peace, stability and development then child birth control is most necessary act so CHINA have been doing.
HIGH CHILD BIRTH consume food and fuel early, than crimes and unrest begins.

@foodparadise5792
I am going to disagree on this one. Please don't turn China into another USA, support small vendors/business. I don't want to big corporations dictate what we can buy. Remember George Carlin famous line about malls?

@leecheelek
Chinese people love shopping whether online or browsing thru the malls. With higher disposable income especially among the middle class numbering some 400-500 million, there will never be enough shopping malls. And the bigger they are, the better.

@koovoo6011
I think India is the center of the world. Where the air is fresh, the environment is beautiful, the people are kind, men and women are equal, there is no discrimination, and the world should learn from India.

@dumy3610
I lived in US California. The most wealthy state in America. But I don't see any shopping malls here that can matches the architecture from the shopping malls in China.

@jimmystar6730
If this kind of video is making you upset, then you should watch "Why America sucks at everything", and "Why other countries treat their people so much better". It will make you feel better after you watched, I promise.

@samwang5831
Many of these malls are suffering due to over-borrowing and declining customers, and it is not due to Covid alone. The shift to on-line shopping is the main cause. The busineess model is out-of- date and some of these malls will go bankrupt.

@u235u235u235
Malls were at their peak 1985 through 2005 in the US and around the world. China is a little late to the party which makes them foolish imo.
Also, China's rail system loses a ton of money and most of their "bullet" trains run at regular train speeds because they'll crash if they go the promised speed. I will admit that China has many trains just not of high quality.
Japan actually has the best train system that WORKS.
China is #1 in the world at bragging and boast to save face when the product isn't that good. China will make a low quality product and claim it's excellent.
